Photography

My Ideas about Photography

Photography is the art of taking pictures. It is about capturing sweet moments such as the growing moments of a sweet little girl. It is about using light to capture precious moments for eternity or for future generations to enjoy.

Photography is fun to some people because they like to take pictures and share with their friends. To some people, taking pictures excite them. To some other people, photography is an avenue for them to unleash their creative expressions such as taking selfies.

The result of photography is always encapsulated in a photo. Yet, how do we take good photographs? There are some pointers we need to be mindful of when taking photographs.

The first pointer to be mindful of is the surrounding light of the subject. If the subject is standing in a very dim place, there may be a need to use flash. What if we wish to take a close up shot instead? Then we might need to move closer to the subject or use a zoom lens to zoom in on our subject. We also need to be mindful if we have shaky hands. If we do, using a tripod might be helpful.

Although taking pictures is fun, there are some challenges to taking good pictures. Firstly, we may not be able to find a good subject to represent our idea. For example, we wish to take a photo of a dandelion flower but, all the dandelion flowers have withered. In such a scenario, we will encounter a challenge.

Another challenge is to capture the moment. Suppose I wish to capture a person's bright smile. The challenge to be able to snap that picture with the person smiling in the exact moment as when a person smile, it could only be for a couple of seconds. Missing that moment, we may not have a second chance to capture that person's bright smile.

In summary, despite the challenges present to take a good photo, I still jump with great joy when I overcome those challenges and captured wonderful precious moments. These awesome photos taken give me great satisfaction and pride. It makes me happy and it is an absolutely thrilling experience to capture that moment.
